Vancouver Trip Part 2

After our first day of adventures in Vancouver we returned to the hotel to order in dinner and take it easy for the evening. Four hours later I gasp! I just remembered I had forgotten to turn the lights in the car off when we parked. It was dark and overcast when we got back so I had turned them on while driving and completely forgot! Jon ran out but by then the battery had already died too much. We have a set of cables but we left them in our other car at home. We decided to go looking for booster cables and a boost in the morning. We checked with the front desk first; they didn't have any. A couple guys in the parking lot didn't have any with them either.  Then a lady came running out of her room. She had heard us asking people and had a set. She said if it was her she'd be so frantic for a boost so she'd love to help us! The kindness of strangers makes my day!

Later on the sky train we'd experience another situation of kindness from a stranger. We drove to the seabus terminal and took it across the inlet to the sky train. We weren't really sure if we were getting on the right one but decided to see where it went. We made it to the Metro Town mall (the 2nd largest mall in Canada.) Did a bit of shopping (Mr. J forgot to pack a coat and underwear. Did I mention I packed all the clothes, he went through them and somehow lost all his underwear?!?). Then we hopped back on the sky train and seabus and explored the Lonsdale Quay Market with all it's shops and delicious foods!

We decided to head to Lighthouse Park for a few hours to enjoy a hike and gorgeous view.

Then it came the time to head home. As BC residents when we bought tickets to hell's gate we received season passes. I'm too chicken to ride the air tram so Jon took a ride down and I read my new book in the car.

Gah!! Look how scary those are!! Glad I stayed in the car!

The rest of the drive was pretty uneventful. And boy we were glad to get home and sleep in our own bed! The pets sure missed us too!
