Some (House)Blog-Keeping Items

I thought now would be a good time to do some house blog-keeping! Two projects and a blog award!

I've recently signed up to participate in Cole's color me happy package exchange! Entry is open till June 7th so click on the above button and sign-up!

A few weeks ago I also signed up to receive a travelling journal! It is such a fun idea! This journal travels around the world and the recipients do up a few pages talking about what art means to them! I don't consider myself all that artsy or creative for that matter but I thought I would give it a try from my perspective!

I wrote about how there is art all around us. And how we need to take the time to appreciate it. Art is a reminder of fresh starts, emotions, and to see life from different angles.

I can't post the full page pictures on here but head over to the travelling journal website to read more about it and follow it on it's journey!

Thank-you Chrissy over at Whimsical Poppysmic for giving me an award! The Sunshine Award!

Here are the rules to accept this award are:

- Thank the person who gave you the award and link back to them.

- Tell us something about yourself.

- Nominate 10 other bloggers and

- let them know that you awarded them!

So... some things about me...

-I love trying new projects and crafts. I have numerous long lists of things I want to try!

-I also love learning! I think I could be a life-time student simply because I love taking classes, researching, and learning new concepts!

-I just purchased the Zumba wii game and have played it the last two nights with Jon. We LOVE it! I know it's probably really different from taking a class but for now the wii game is perfect for us to do at home. Plus we really can't dance. Ok so I can sorta pick up a beat but Jon cannot. It's hilarious! I laugh so much during the workout. You should see him dance with his mom; they both just bounce and bob. It's kinda cute when they both do it.

-piles of buttons make me happy. Also... shopping for shoes.

-I'm a HUGE Golden Girls fan. I really believe I will become them when I'm that age.

Don't feel like you have to participate if you don't want to!

But I give this award to:

Kirsti @ A Quick Success of Busy Nothings
Bibi @ Simple Summit
Kat @ the engineer's other life
Amy @ life's Journey with a Smile
San @ the in between is mine
Becks @ Weight Wars
Michelle @ Desultory Diversions
Kelly Michelle @ When the time is right
Annie @ Believe You Me
Jen @ the cozy project

So head over and check out these lovely ladies!

  15. I know! One of those ideas I wish I'd come up with! I can't wait to see what everyone's pages look like! In highschool my best friend and I had a journal that we passed back and forth and wrote notes all day to each other in. I still have it!
