Ghost Cars

The other day when we were waiting for the fireworks to start, I played around with my camera a bit trying to figure out night pictures. I took this one while we were still in the car.

I was trying to adjust the settings and wanted to see where it was at. Even though it's an "accident" photo, I for some reason really like it! It gives a good idea of what it was like outside: rainy and dark!

When we did our Small Snapshots: Movement edition I was so excited about Kat's and Kristi's road pictures as I've really wanted to try some.

I tried a bunch and came away with a few of these type shots. A tripod would make it a lot easier and probably way better... but I'm happy with the outcome this time!

Jon's favorite are the ones when the cars went around the corner. He says it looks like ghost cars and all you can see is their lights. haha! But as you can tell, our town wasn't too bustlin' . Perhaps next time I'll find a busier road. Or a busier night!

  3. I like the close up on the rain drops, it makes me think back to my childhood when we looked out the windows on rainy days. :)
The movement pictures are awesome, too - I may have to play around with my camera on a bridge or something. that's a great idea for a movement picture :)

  5. See, I'd go with the car with the invisibility booster from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets before I thought of ghost cars!! ;)

I'm excited to try this again when I move home, because there's a freeway overpass about 3 blocks from my parents' house, so I'm going to walk down there and play around with my camera!

  12. hahah sure! don't hate me, but I've never seen/read any HP so I don't know what that is lol

It'd be a lot funner to play around with this at a freeway... there wasn't quite enough traffic on this road.
