Sometimes we just want to make a certain recipe but we seem to be missing a few ingredients from every version we find. This happened last week when we wanted to make some pasta salad to go with dinner. So we decided to make our own version that would be a combination of a few recipes. It turned out really good! We’ll definitely be making it again sometime! We don't measure exactly but kind of eye it up so hopefully this turns out for you if you try it!
Ingredients:
-pasta
-mayonnaise
-mustard
-green onions
-garlic salt
-fresh parsley
- 1 red tomato
-1 red pepper
-purple onion
-feta cheese
-salt and pepper
1. Boil water and cook your pasta. We did about half a regular size bag of bow tie pasta
2. Meanwhile chop up your green onions, parsley, tomatoes, red pepper, and onion.
3. In a bowl combine 1 cup of mayo, few squirts of mustard (about 1 tablespoon?), sprinkle in some garlic salt, salt, and pepper. Mix it all up. Crumble in some feta cheese. It’s not over powering in this recipe.
4. Once the pasta is done, drain it and pour cold water on it, drain that. Once the pasta has cooled dump it in a large bowl. Mix in your veggies. Add your sauce mixture and you’re good to go! Enjoy!
'Tis the salad season. I love it and this recipe sound so yummy and all full of delicious veggies! Now if only the rain would stop around these parts so it would actually feel like summer!!
ReplyDeleteI love salad season! I know eh?! At first I was like pasta salad is so unhealthy! But then I realized with all these veggies it's got to almost even out right? We're having a delayed summer here too. On one hand I love that the rain is making everything green but on the other hand I want some sun and not as many mosquitos!
