Our one dog, Kudjo is part border collie. I'm convinced this is the reason he can be high energy. It means we spend a lot of time every day exercising him. To prevent boredom of us and him; we try to mix up what we do with him. Sometimes we walk around the neighborhood. Or go for a hike. Or take a swim. Or one of his favorites... fetch hide-and-seek. We decided yesterday to try something new so we decided to create an agility-like course and see if we could get him to do it. Nothing fancy but something that would stimulate him in a different way!
We started with a pole jump part
The next part of the course was a table top thing-a-ma-gig
And what's a mock agility course without a in-and-out section
The final section was a "tunnel"
Kudjo is totally motivated by treats so we tried the first round with no leashes and just treats. Total disaster! The next round we tried a simple leash and treats. Not much better. So we put the treats away and put a leader-leash on him. So much better! For one round he picked up his frisbee on the way by and carried it through the course.

Weaving like a pro
We weren't sure how the little dog would do but he loved it and did everything almost perfect! Pretty impressive for never doing it before.
We modified the course a bit for him. Instead of jumping over the stick he just had to jump on the chair and pause for a few seconds.
Instead of photo overloading you with pictures of the him, I'll just tell you that he is smiling in every picture during the course. He was having so much fun. The tunnel was his favorite part.
So apparently we had too much time on our hands yesterday. But the dogs had a blast!

so adorable and fun!
