Chocolate Heart Cookies

Every year I like to make the same cookies for Valentines Day. I don't usually make them at any other time through out the year but only for V-Day. I wrote a post about them last year but I thought this year I'd share the recipe! I don't know what their official name is but growing up we always cut them into heart shapes so we called them Chocolate Heart Cookies. They taste so good! Almost like the brownie version of cookies!

Chocolate Heart Cookies
-1/2 cup margarine
-1 cup white sugar
-2 eggs
-sprinkle of salt
-pinch of cinnamon
-2 cups flour
-1/2 cup cocoa
-1 tsp baking powder
-1 tsp baking soda

Cream softened margarine with sugar. Stir in 2 eggs. Combine all the dry ingredients and slowly mix in. Chill dough for 1 hour. Roll to 1/4" thickness. Bake until cooked (for approx 8 mins) at 325.
I like to ice them with chocolate buttercream icing and add a few cinnamon candies! Let me know if you make them!
