Snowy Days And Crafting

Usually around these parts, Mother Nature teases us with snow starting the beginning of October. We'll get a few skiffs of it but it'll melt. Or not enough to really cover the grass. But this year we didn't receive any teasing. She waited till last week-end when she dumped snow on us for three days straight.

Kudjo, he didn't mind. He's got his winter coat and he's good to go. He doesn't have to plow the driveway so it doesn't bother him any!

Butch, he's a little less excited about the snow. He enjoys his pillow in front of the wood stove. After not too long he's had enough outside and complains his paws are cold.

He was determined to play frisbee even though the snow was so deep and heavy it made it so much harder for him.

Snow can make even dried up berries look pretty

While it snowed like crazy outside, I spent time building more stock for the craft fair next weekend! Seems like it's coming up fast and I'm quickly running out of time to get prepared!!

It's starting to come together!

It looked so pretty when it was snowing!

But I was definitely happy when I looked out and saw the blue skies!!

This is how we measure snow around here. It seems accurate enough!

Time to cuddle up with this one by the fire. I've got a few more things to crochet before next week-end! Have a great week-end everyone!

  3. Hi! I found your lovely blog through BBN. I'm always looking for fun/normal blogs to read. Btw, I'm in Canada too. Which part of the country are you that is so much snow already!? I'm in Ottawa and it's still fall. Actually it's been a beautiful and mild fall.

I really love your photos. The snow photos are so nice they make me (kind of) excited about winter, and I don't even like winter! And your dogs, well, no words. Just too friggin cute.

I'm your newest follower :) Looking forward to reading your blog.

    1. Hi Stephanie! Thanks for checking out my blog! I'm located close to the centre of BC. So we're a little farther north than Ottawa ;) I love fall so I wouldn't have minded it a little longer!

Thanks! I'm glad the beauty of winter was seen in the photos and not how cold it was! Shh! don't say that too loud! Don't want the dogs to know they're cute!

Thanks for the follow! Off to check out your blog!

  4. Holy cow - I can't believe how much snow you have already! Can you just hold onto it for a little while? I'm not quite ready for snow yet. ;)

Looks like you're making great progress with your craft show items. What have you been crocheting? Oh, and cute dogs!!

    1. I know! It was so much in that little time! But a few days later it rained for a day and a half and most of it melted! We still don't have a whole lot yet. But it's just a matter of time! hahaha watch it! Next time I'll send it your way ;)

Thanks! I've been working on crocheting hats, gloves, and scarves. I don't know stitches! So every project turns out different!
