You know those times when you wake up from a dream and go "hmm.." I've had three the past few weeks. I've always been fascinated with dreams. Not the crazy ones where it's obvious you had too much sugar or coffee before bed. But the vivid ones where it's obvious there is a lot of emotion behind them. While I don't always pick them apart and research what "experts" say each color and item means, I do try to think about what things represent or mean to be and what my psyche is trying to tell me. These last three have been no-brainers. I know what they're trying to tell me. Just sometimes I don't want to hear it.
Speaking of weird dreams, my husband and I had specific details in our dreams... two years apart. Kind of makes you think!
Have you had any weird dreams lately? Do you analyze every detail or take it as a manifestation of your daily activities and thoughts?

Everyone tells me I'm great at dream interpretation - I think it's just an application of what I have learned in my years as a literature student. It's all interpreting symbols! I used to have very vivid dreams - definitely related to my eating (a) poorly and (b) right before falling asleep. Crazy detailed dreams. I'd wake up and write down every detail - pages and pages in my notebooks. I don't miss eating like that, but sometimes I miss how oddly creative and symbolic they could be.
ReplyDeleteI often try to analyse my dreams, there is always some meanings to reflect on and ideas that emerge in the early morning and help me to understand my life better. Some are pure craziness, but some really have something to tell me.
ReplyDeleteOh exactly! It's all about what things symbolize and mean to you. Hmm... I should start writing down mine!
ReplyDeleteIt's kinda neat how dreams can have a strong and profound message. Sometimes they're plain nuts but it's fun to think about!
