Catching Up

What have I been up to this past month since we moved? Well, thank-you for asking!

• packing and unpacking. It seriously never ends! We're basically unpacked. There are several boxes still untouched but they're things we never unpack. I plan to go through them and purge, saving what I want to keep in rubbermaids.

• kayaking! If you follow me on twitter you might have seen many references to this. We've been going out almost every day. I might get the knack of it by fall... just in time for the lake to freeze over!

• hosting. We've had a few people out to our new place. The latest was an elderly couple we hang out with. We have a pretty sweet arrangement. I teach her technology like facebook and email; and she teaches me how to quilt. Jon helps him with manual labor tasks around the place; and he beats him at cribbage and takes Jon fishing. I actually don't know their ages and it's hard to guess because they live by the motto age is just a number. I hope I'm as active as they are when I'm *that* age. She's been asking me for a few months about Wii so we got them playing the other night when they were here for dinner. It was funny how into it and competitive they got.

• tanning, gardening, and reading. I'm the darkest tan I have been in a loonngg time. Our garden is growing nicely with all that rain we had. I've also read almost 3 books.

• sewing projects and etsy orders. I signed up back in January fir a Pay It Forward project so I've been working on a few projects for it. I should be finished soon!  And in my shop, I'm 1 sale away from 60! Yay!

• and watched a crap load of tv series on dvd!
